The Longford Academy (LA8) held on 8-13 May 2017 was another highly successful activity for members of the APT Australasia Chapter and fellow heritage conservation practitioners.  The collaborative learning program at Woolmers and Brickendon Estates in Northern Tasmania included two focussed workshops and practical hands-on activities involving:

  • lime mortar repairs
  • fastenings and forged iron components
  • window reglazing
  • wood graining
  • limewashing
  • paint removal
  • analysis and interpretation of changes to buildings

The Longford Academy (LA8) run by the APT Australasia Chapter was supported by the Tasmanian Building and Construction Industry Training Board, Sibelco, and Woolmers and Brickendon Estates.
